Managed Services Innovation of the Year for Azure
8 months after our Azure practice signed a strategic agreement with Microsoft we have some more great news: we have won the Managed Services Innovation of the Year award at the annual Global Telecom (Glotel) Awards.
The award recognised Macquarie’s consistent Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +86, one of the highest in Australia and the benefits we offer fellow Australian companies including saving customers an average of 26 per cent off their public cloud costs and promoting a more advanced use of Azure services.
The ‘Glotels’ are a global awards ceremony recognising innovation in advancing and transforming today’s telecom industry.
This is huge. Not just because the GloTels are so prestigious. Not just because we’ve been recognised globally. But because when we started out, our company purpose was focused firmly on delighting a market that was underserved and overcharged. To do that through innovation and customer service on Azure is everything our practice strived to achieve.
As if that wasn’t enough, special mention was made for being the first managed service provider (MSP) in the world to develop the VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN ‘Virtual Edge’- delivering true hybrid network management into Azure.
In a year where good news has found it hard to make the headlines, a huge gratitude must placed upon the judges for the recognition, our employees for their relentless drive to be the best and to our customers who motivate us to remain focused on what’s important.
The win makes for Macquarie Technology Group’s third global award in the space of eight days, after the company was awarded Best Customer Experience (CX) of the Year, and CEO David Tudehope CEO of the Year, at the World Communication Awards. Macquarie Cloud Services was also recently recognised as one of the best places to work in Australia.
The Azure practice, just shy of it’s second birthday is growing from strength to strength, so rest assured I am sure you will be hearing from us soon! This, my friends, is only the beginning…
